Self Similar is Dean Cheesman and Natalie Landrey. We work directly with every client and bring in trusted collaborators when a project needs a larger team, whether that means fabrication, production, design, or another specialty. No matter who else is involved, you work with us throughout.

Dean builds the interactive systems: depth tracking, GLSL shaders, TouchDesigner pipelines, control surfaces, and the systems that have to keep running when the doors open. He's been teaching TouchDesigner publicly for five years via YouTube and Patreon, which means the techniques inside your project are the same ones practitioners worldwide are learning from.

Natalie Landrey

Strategy · Growth · Operations

Natalie spent years leading growth strategy and paid media at BambooHR and Zapier before co-founding Self Similar. She works on the business side of the studio: where to focus, how to talk about the work, and how to get it in front of the right people. She keeps things organized and moving, and is usually the one asking whether something is actually worth doing.
